This is a new blog. It is what it says on the tin (the can), the view from me. I've had in mind for a long time to do this, mainly for any grandkids that might emerge one day. It's what I wished my own grandparents and my parents would have done, in their own way. I figure that my own children might not want nor care to know all of this (too close, too embarrassing, too wrong) but their kids, they might like to know. And then it might filter down to my own. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
This is not a memoir, heaven forbid. It is purely and simply an extemporaneous and heterogenous suite of wanderings through my own views, my own perspectives, my own prejudices. I am guessing (for nothing is written yet but this half-a-page > search for Pink Floyd once there is some stuff here to search) . . . I am guessing that the quality by any measure will be patchy. My promise to you is that it will be honest and unplanned, largely unedited, extemporaneous (said that already), sparse at times, dense at others, funny, boring, tedious, surprising, and using American spelling and punctuation!
And so this is the atrium. It is large and largely empty. It is open and free. Welcome to the view from me.
